FAQs

The best way to initiate the process of getting work done is to email us to arrange a consultation. You will want to provide any reference materials in the email so that we can get a clear idea of the concept and style that you are wanting for your project.  Currently, consultations are being done virtually in 15 and 30-minute increments.  If you decide to schedule an appointment, we do require you to leave a deposit (usually $50 - 75 minimum or more, depending on the scale of the work). We accept Zelle for the deposit. The amount of the deposit will depend on the amount of work to be done.  This deposit will be deducted from the final cost of the session, after the tattoo has been completed.

Back pieces and sleeves run a minimum of $300 for the initial deposit. Please understand that we will not duplicate someone else's tattoo for you. Rather, we are interested in designing a custom piece for you that reflects your own individuality. Please be advised that there is a significant wait to get on the calendar. There is usually about a 6-month wait between the consultation time and the tattoo appointment. If you are in the process of getting large work, your appointments will be scheduled about once a month until the project is complete.

We are currently available by appointment only. The studio is a private atmosphere with limited space. Please come to your appointment alone, due to the space requirements. We have an extensive travel schedule, and we are especially difficult to reach in the summer months. If you have difficulty reaching us, please try again at a later date. We want to work with you, we just may be out of town during the time of your inquiry. If you require more immediate assistance, feel free to email us or text us at 702-530-6080.

Beginning in January of 2023, we charge $175 per hour for all new tattoos done on fresh skin.  Cover up tattoos or tattoos over scarring run $200 per hour.  Although that may seem like a high hourly rate, one must remember that the artist has been tattooing for almost 25 years so the pricing (and the quality of the tattoos) will reflect those years of experience in the tattoo industry.

We charge a minimum of $175 for the first hour of work. Therefore, if you are planning a small tattoo, it is to your benefit to get it in addition to a larger piece. Please be advised that tattoos on certain areas of the body (hands, fingers, face, neck, and groin or genitalia area) will run a minimum of $175, due to the placement alone, regardless of the size and timeframe that they take to complete.

A government-issued identification card is required for all clients. Examples of this include a state-issued I.D. card, valid driver's license, or passport.  Proper identification is a requirement, so you will not be able to get work done if we do not receive the information in a timely fashion. If you are a minor, school I.D.s are NOT accepted, as they do not meet the identification guidelines set forth by the SNHD (Southern Nevada Health District).

We do not work on anyone under 16 years of age. If you are a minor between the ages of 16 and 18, you must provide a valid, government issued, photo I.D.  It is required that you are accompanied by your legal guardian, who must also provide a government-issued I.D. The last names on both I.D.s need to match, or else additional documentation (such as a birth certificate) is required to prove the relationship, as per the SNHD.

Please also be advised that according to the SNHD health guidelines, children under 14 year of age are not permitted in the shop. Please arrange for their childcare before your appointment.

If you are unable to make your scheduled appointment, please give us the courtesy of letting us know ASAP, or at least 48 hours ahead of time, if possible. We understand that occasional emergencies do come up; however, if you "no call/no show", your deposit will be forfeited along with any subsequent scheduled appointments in future months. In order to reschedule after a "no call/no show" occurs, you will have to leave an additional minimum deposit of $100 prior to being given new appointment dates.

This is easy to avoid by either sending a quick text to (702) 530-6080 or an email, as is common courtesy. Please just let us know in advance that you need to cancel.  We will do the same if something unexpected comes up on our end.  Thank you for your courtesy.

The best preparation for getting a new tattoo is to eat well before coming into the shop, drink plenty of water to hydrate your skin, and get as much sleep as possible the night before your appointment.  Please shower before coming into the studio to ensure your skin is clean of any oils or lotions.  Please do not apply any lotions to the area to be tattooed after your shower.  Dress comfortably, wearing loose clothing that is well thought out, so that the area to be tattooed is readily accessible. Bring bottled water with you, along with a fully charged cell phone and headphones so that you can listen to your own music or play on your phone if you find the distraction beneficial. You may also want to bring hard candy or a healthy snack if you feel that your blood sugar might drop during the session. Please do not take any aspirin or prescription drugs that you do not take regularly prior to your appointment. We don't want any unwanted or unnecessary side effects to occur during your procedure.

We offer one free touch up within two years after the tattoo is originally done as a personal guarantee. However, please realize that we expect the proper aftercare recommendations to be followed while healing. We are able to tell if a touch up is required due to negligent aftercare, and if that is the case, you will be charged for that touch up.

You will most likely leave the studio with your new tattoo under a "second skin" style bandage. These bandages are waterproof and can be worn in the shower. But be careful, because if the bandage becomes compromised, you will need to take it off early, which will not benefit the healing of the tattoo. This bandage could be left on for up to 36 hours, but not longer than that. It should then be removed while you are in the shower. Before you get out, carefully ANCHOR YOUR SKIN and slowly begin to peel back the wrap. The bandage will not stick to the new tattoo, but it will stick to the surrounding area. Be especially careful when removing from super soft skin or areas with hair. Apply baby oil or coconut oil to the area if you need assistance loosening the adhesive.  Once the wrap has been removed, and the 'goo' that has developed has gone down the drain, wash your new tattoo using the instructions below.

TO THOSE WITH ALLERGIES: ***If you are allergic to adhesives and left the studio with your new tattoo wrapped up with a non-adhesive bandage instead of the waterproof bandage, you will follow this separate routine.  Always begin your aftercare method by washing your hands first, with hot water and a mild antibacterial soap.  Remove the non adhesive bandage in a few hours and wash well using the wash instructions below. Then, leave the tattoo open to the air for the next few hours or more. Next, cover the clean, dry tattoo with a new piece of transparent plastic wrap and affix to body with medical tape. Apply medical tape in new areas each time to avoid irritating the same spots on the skin. Keep the tattoo covered for the next few hours, then begin the wash process again. make sure the tattoo is covered for the first 3 nights when going to bed.  Repeat this process for about three to four days. Wash the tattoo 3 times a day for the first two days and twice a day for the last day or two.***

THE WASHING PROCESS:  Begin by washing your hands first, with hot water and a mild antibacterial soap. Rinse completely. Then, re-lather your hands with the soap and now lather your new tattoo with your soapy hands only. While washing the area, use water as WARM as you can stand it (without burning yourself!). Remove all of the plasma and dead skin cells, then rinse thoroughly. Finish the process by rinsing the new tattoo with COOL water. AIR DRY the tattoo using a fan or hair dryer on a cool setting. During the healing phase, DO NOT use towels, washcloths, or loofahs! They are too harsh on the newly tattooed area.  Let the tattooed area dry completely prior to donning any ointments or lotions.

Two to three times a day, for three days, apply a very small amount of Aquaphor or Coconut Oil to the tattoo and rub it in completely, being careful to blot off any excess. Make sure that tattoo is clean and dry prior to applying anything to it! After day three, begin to use a fragrance-free lotion (such as Curel, Keri, Eucerin, or Lubriderm) in place of the ointment.

DO NOT re-bandage the tattoo during the day unless advised to do so (like overnight for the first 3 days). Also, try to keep clothing from continuously rubbing the area. If bandaging is necessary, use a transparent cling wrap and affix with medical tape especially over high friction areas. Always apply the bandage on clean, dry skin, and always wash the tattoo after removing the bandage. Try not to leave the area bandaged for over 6 hours straight during the day.

Try to sleep with a bandage or clean clothing covering the tattoo for the first three nights (as freshly tattooed skin can adhere to the bedding). If this happens, get the bedding wet and peel it off of the tattoo carefully. Then wash and air dry the area. DO NOT rip the sheet off of your skin without getting it wet first!

It will take about two weeks for your tattoo to fully heal. During that time, DO NOT water soak the area; avoid swimming pools, Jacuzzis, large bodies of water, etc. Keep the area as dry as possible during that time unless you are washing it. If it does get wet, air dry. It is an open wound while healing and needs to be treated as such. The tattoo will begin to peel and flake off.  DO NOT pick or scratch at the new tattoo.

It is NORMAL for the area to be sore, swollen, tender, and even experience bruising while healing. Some of the ink will be expelled from the area, and you will see it gather with other bodily fluids underneath the bandage, creating an "ink sac" (for lack of a better phrase). This is NOT harmful to the tattoo; rather, it is your body's natural way of healing itself.

During the healing process, flaking and/or scabbing will occur as the upper layers of the skin are shed off completely. The area may scab up. DO NOT pick or scratch! If it itches, smack it! Take it easy for awhile. Baby yourself for a few days after getting work done. Take a few days off from the gym and rest instead, to get your endurance and stamina back.

Keep the new tattoo out of the sun! When you are in the sun after your work is healed, always use the highest SPF suntan lotion that you can find. Do not use tanning beds.  If you do not follow this advice, your tattoo will age prematurely and will look faded and blurry long before its time.  The sun is very damaging to tattoos and it will definitely have a negative effect on the color brilliancy of any color tattoos.

Signs of an infection may include a throbbing pain in the tattoo area. The surrounding area may develop a bright red ring around it and it may excrete a yellow or green puss. Proper procedure, should this happen, is to contact your personal physician for treatment and report the occurrence to the Southern Nevada Health District special programs at (702) 759-0677. Basically, if you let your dog lick it and the tattoo looks like green oatmeal as a result (you laugh, but I had it happen to a client once), then it's time to go see a doctor.

Tattoo shops always prefer cash, but we also accept Venmo and Zelle as additional electronic options.

We do also accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express, however, please be advised of the following:

If you are planning to pay with Venmo or a credit card, please understand that we charge an additional 10% to cover the processing fees that those companies charge us.

This is why CASH IS ALWAYS KING!!

Unfortunately, at this time, we do not provide any type of piercings at this time.
